AUDIENCE OF THE AMBASSADOR OF SAUDI ARABIA AT THE MINISTRY OF TERRITORIAL ADMINISTRATION

The Minister of Territorial Administration and his Excellency ABDALELAH MOHAMMED A. ALSHEAIBY, AMBASSADOR OF SAUDI ARABIA to Cameroon, in an audience on May 5, 2021 at the Ministry of Territorial Administration, discussed the situation of this year’s pilgrimage in the context of Covid-19 pandemic.

They swapped ideas on a vast number of topics including preventive measures that will be determined by the Ministry of Public Health and the National Hajj Commission to allow a limited number of Muslims to take part in the pilgrimage to Mecca. Apart from the Covid 19 vaccine, other inoculations like meningitis, polio, yellow fever and influenza will be required. Apart from discussions relating to Hajj and the covid 19 pandemic, cooperation ties between the two States was equally examined. The Saudi ambassador also seized the occasion to present some cooperation ideas. He stated that a delegation of Saudi personalities will be in Cameroon in the days ahead.  Ambassador Abdalelah Mohammed A. Alsheaiby used the opportunity to thank the Head of State, His Excellency Paul Biya, for granting them a piece of land where they put up an architectural jewel of the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Cameroon. Minister Atanga Nji Paul on his part congratulated the relation between the two countries and the perfect collaboration between Cameroon and the institutions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. At the end of the audience, both officials exchanged gifts.
