The Minister of Territorial Administration Atanga Nji Paul and the Humanitarian Coordinator in Cameroon, Matthias Z. Naab on April 7, 2021, launched the 2021 Cameroon Humanitarian Response Plan at the Yaounde Hilton hotel.

This plans aims to provide life saving assistance, reduce the vulnerability of people affected by crises and support communities to become more resilient to withstand future shocks. During the official launch of this ceremony, Mme Carla Martinez Head of office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs OCHA, made a brief presentation on the response humanitarian plan in Cameroon. Minister Atanga Nji Paul on his part during the ceremony said, the humanitarian  response plan is a proove of friendship between Cameroon and the United Nations agency. He added that the response equally has as objective to accompany the president in his humanitarian response plan in crises affected zones. He equally assured the partners that they will bring them the necessary support while exercising their activity in Cameroon. At the end of the ceremony, the Humanitarian Coordinator, M. Matthias Z. Naab spoke to the press and said they were there to access the need of the vulnerable population in Cameroon. Given that Cameroon is confronted with the crises in the Far North by Boko Haram, in the East by insecurity in Central Africa and the crises in the North West and South West Regions. Not forgetting the disruptive impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. He equally revealed that they are mobilising resources to support government in the need of vulnerable people.
